Little Did I Know

Standard

There was a time the life in me had died.

Shriveled up

Slithered away

In shame and defeat.

It moved out

While I was distracted

Surviving.

Little did I know,

A solitaire bud of hope had remained

Hidden

In the dark.

In a shadowy recess of my soul.

Little did I know.

Little did I know.
